HealthCare Insights' President, Linda Nuzum, has more than fifteen years experience
working with many of the largest managed care organizations, including PacifiCare, Foundation Health, and Blue Cross/ Blue
Shield organizations.
Nuzum's experience covers the full range of managed health care systems and business
processes. She has led selection, installation, conversion, training, user support,
and modification of vendor software; designed business requirements for a new, $100 million system; and created credible reporting
systems for health plan managers, employers, and providers.
Current projects focus on technologies and process improvements that can enhance
communication and data flows between health plans and their constituents: providers, members, employers and brokers.
Prior to establishing HealthCare Insights, Nuzum served for seven years as Director
of Business Systems for Peak Health Plan (now part of PacifiCare), where she managed the business use of computer systems
for 14 HMOs nationwide. She began her career in healthcare systems working with
physician offices.
Nuzum’s focus on improving organizations, and awareness of how people are
affected by changes in their organization, are supported by a MPA specializing in organization development, and a BS in Sociology/
Psychology.
Nuzum serves on the Board of Directors for Colorado Healthcare Strategy and Management.
